Four sections,
one source of truth

Everything the buying team knows about what we sell, in one place, with every fact carrying a note saying where it came from.

Where this actually stands. All 29 regions and 164 sub-regions are profiled, with Champagne written up in full. The vintage grid is structurally finished but carries illustrative scores that need replacing with our own. The sparkling range is parsed with 662 grape breakdowns sourced or derived, 40 of them confirmed against producer sites, and 6052 fields still blank. Nothing here has been guessed, and nothing has been taken from another merchant.

What we think, and when to open it

Quality is the colour. Maturity is the bar underneath, derived from the drinking window rather than typed in, so it moves on its own.

Every score here is illustrative and needs replacing. The grid holds two independent sources per cell and never merges them, because a Consejo Regulador category and a buyer's ten point score are not the same measurement. Official ratings appear only where a producer body publishes one, which is why Spain and Portugal have them and California does not.

The whole list, classified

Every grape breakdown carries a badge saying where it came from: named on the label, fixed by appellation law, published by the house, or verified on the producer's own site. Nothing is presented as more certain than it is.
